It began with a place.
Casa Brava grew from the restoration of an old rural property near Loulé. We brought former agricultural spaces back to life, created independent suites and made this place our family home.
Our background in property management and renovation meets the daily reality of hosting: preparing rooms, answering questions and noticing the details that matter. We remain directly involved in the work we take on.
We started by caring for our own place.
Our Casa Brava project began in 2017, in the countryside near Loulé. Restoring an old stone farmhouse meant thinking about materials, circulation, light and the way each space would be used. The former agricultural spaces became Old Pig, Old Donkey and Old Cellar: three independent suites within the place where we live. This is why we approach a property as a home with its own character, not simply a listing to fill.

Marco brings experience in property management, transactions and renovation, developed in France before our Algarve project. Contracts, practical organisation and property follow-up are part of that background. Julie brings close attention to welcoming guests, the presentation of spaces and the details that make a stay comfortable. Together, we connect the owner’s concerns with the traveller’s experience. The work agreed for each property determines our involvement; you know who to contact and what to expect.

An accurate description, useful arrival instructions, a clean space and a clear response when something goes wrong are practical essentials. We have experienced these responsibilities in our own guest house. We apply the same attention when helping another owner: describe the home honestly, prepare it thoughtfully and keep decisions traceable. Caring for a property and respecting its guests belong to the same service.

We study recurring services in Loulé, Almancil, Quarteira, Boliqueime and São Brás de Alportel, subject to the exact address and practical access. Staying close allows us to understand each house and organise realistic visits. A written proposal sets out the tasks, frequency, costs and authorisations. We can work with existing trusted suppliers, while keeping their work and invoices clearly identified.
